The answer is simple. We are not one-hormone creatures. We were given a number of hormones to carry out a multiple of functions in our body, hormones such as: Human Growth Hormone, Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, Melatonin, Thyroid, DHEA, Cortisol and Pregnenolone. Belgian physician Thierry Hertoghe, M.D., a fourth-generation endocrinologist and a leader in anti-aging hormone modulation, believes that the more hormones you use in a replacement program the less quantity you need of each. The reason for this is that they have a synergistic and overlapping effect in the body. By improving the system with one, you need less of another to make further improvements.
You don’t necessarily have to replace all hormones listed above. The number of hormones you need will depend on your symptoms, goals and blood levels. No matter how many hormones you decide to use, patience, staying in tune with your body’s responses, lifestyle modifications and thoroughly following your physicians instructions on taking your hormones and natural supplements are the keys to your success.
