9/19/11 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Monday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 19. September 2011 19:16

The past few days I've been battling a cold.  A lot of times when I get sick I lose my appetite, especially when I have a stuffy nose and can't even taste the food.  But, Jenny Craig, stresses the importance of trying to get in all your food groups.  Some people say they like when they're sick or have the stomach flu because they lose weight but you just end up gaining it right back the week you start eating normally again.  Make sure to get in your 2 cups of milk per day, your added fat (margarine or light dressing), and 2 fruits.  This is an essential part of your commitment to having a balanced diet with portion control.  Unless I have the stomach flu I try to stick pretty much to my diet.  Also, upping my water intake helps with all the cold meds that dehydrate me.  Just try your best; getting better is obviously the number one priority.
